We all feel accomplished when we achieve our goal but how do we achieve that feeling? When we set forth to accomplish our goals, we may not factor in or we just do not see the potential setbacks. So, what setbacks are we discussing? An example of setbacks would be, in a leadership position, leaders who may have their own personal goals such as achieving to the next rank, into a leadership role, and even into an entrepreneurship. This is called growth and development. The setbacks may be individual conflict made on other individuals such as jealous, envy, and individuals making false accusations.
In growth and development, there is fear and fear must be made your friend to avoid defeat. Cognitive Behavioral plays a role in growth and development. It plays a significant role in personal growth, helping individuals develop healthier thought patterns, enhance emotional resilience, and achieve their personal goals. Understanding the principles of CBT and how they can be applied to foster personal development can be a transformative experience.
So, how does this tie into setbacks? Well, let’s revisit the leader in a leadership role. Many leaders were defeated or may have personal defeats such as Winston Churchill and Franklin D. Roosevelt. Even if these examples were true, regardless these leaders were successful.
“Candidate A: Associates with ward healers and consults with astrologists; has had two mistresses; chain-smokes and drinks eight to ten martinis a day.
“Candidate B: Was kicked out of office twice; sleeps until noon; used opium in college; drinks a quart of brandy every evening.
Candidate A is Franklin Roosevelt. Candidate B is Winston Churchill. After extensive research no evidence was shown Franklin D. Roosevelt had two mistresses, chain-smoked and drink eight to ten martinis a day. No evidence shown of Winston Churchill was kicked out of office. However, he announced his resignation shortly after WW2 but he served another term from 1951 to 1955.
No evidence was proven of either candidates but if so this is a strong example of defeat of false accusations and success of overcoming envy and jealously .
