The Mind of Mine
In society today, I am sure many people may contest in having a certain situation that really got out of control. Here is an example. A married couple is on the break of divorce, and they have children who are young. One parent is willing to cooperate for the sake of the children, but the other is the aggressor. The aggressor is the one always attacking first when any small opportunity is given.
The aggressor may be a narcissistic individual. I would like to use Cognitive Behavior Theory in this situation as an example. Cognitive Behavior Theory provides study information on human’s emotions, behavior, body sensations, and thought process. Anyone of these elements may also cause
another person’s emotions, thoughts, and behavior to act differently. Thoughts creates feelings,
feelings create behavior, and behavior creates thoughts. This is a continuous cycle.
The aggressor or narcissist thought processes is a defensive mechanism. Right off the jump, they are always right, play the victim and will try to manipulate those around them. In the divorce, one parent decides to move on, and the aggressor continues to harass and disrupt the lively hood of the other. The aggressor drags the other parent back and forth to court for the littlest things but loses ever time. It’s to the point that over the course of time the aggressor lied to the children but
years later the children found out the truth. These are examples of a narcissist and their thought process.
The thoughts created turn into feeling and once the feeling set in the behavior goes into action, and behavior returns into thoughts. Some people have dealt with aggressors in an unpleasant manner and didn’t know which way to turn for assistance.
The Mind of Mine is about an individual’s thought process and how over the course of time they dealt with certain situations and people in those situations. However, the most important factor in the Mind of Mine is understanding yourself, knowing who you are and never letting anyone or situation being you down.
